Summer Residence

We are pleased to be able to offer our students the option of accommodation in a university residence in addition to the choice of homestay accommodation. This summer, students will be able to stay at a Bournemouth University residence., Purbeck House.

Purbeck House is centrally located, close to the town centre of Bournemouth with direct bus links to the school, taking approximately 15-20 minutes.

The accommodation is split up into 5 bedroom apartments with each bedroom having en-suite facilities. Each apartment has a shared kitchen and living room.

Need to talk about an academic matter?
Speak to Jenny the Academic Manager, who has been teaching for nearly 30 years, 20+ years of which have been teaching English as a Foreign Language. Jenny has been an IELTS examiner for several years. Before the FCE and CAE exams became computer based, Jenny had been an examiner for them for over 10 years.

Need to talk about a booking or financial matter?
Speak to Denis the Client Services Administrator. Denis has worked for Scanbrit for seven years but before this he worked for many years as a computer systems support manager for JP Morgan.

Need to talk about an accommodation or welfare matter?
Speak to Alison, the Accommodation and Welfare Officer. Alison is born and brought up in Bournemouth and her local knowledge is invaluable. She is very approachable and students can talk to her at any time regarding pastoral matters.
