We provided students at Regent Edinburgh with the chance to demonstrate their skills by preparing and presenting their own news report at Sky Skills Studios.
Teams of students worked together to create their very own news broadcast on a topic of their choice. Our student teams planed, wrote and filmed their segment of the report, allowing them to use their English as well as interpersonal and team-working skills. Each team explored similar ideas to help their news report to progress naturally.
At the centre of every course is the global knowledge session in which students work on a range of topics of international importance and relevance, creating connections and sharing ideas with students of other nationalities. For students at Regent Edinburgh this session helped to inspire their work for Sky Skills Studios with topics such as cultural diversity featuring heavily in their report.
Our Confident Spoken Performance sessions builds self-confidence through mini role-plays, presentations and public speaking activities. We think the confidence our students built during their time at Regent can be seen clearly in the Sky Skills Studio report.
On the course students develop their linguistic, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. The range of unique sessions work together to help build the skills that allow our students to work together and communicate with confidence and precision, allowing them to take on the challenge of using English in their lives after their course ends.
