It was an honour for Regent to be invited to sponsor a prestigious conference that took place in Warsaw last week. The conference celebrated the inauguration of a new charity called 'Fundacja Kobiety Niezależnej' (Independent Women Foundation) and was attended by Gosia Stewart, the Principal of Regent Brighton.
At Regent Scanbrit in Bournemouth we realise that the benefits of coming to the UK to study English are many: the chance to be fully immersed in the language, to stay with local people and learn about the culture and to use English in natural, real life situations. But taking a language course overseas is a big commitment, taking time off work or study, leaving family behind and the financial cost of studying in the UK.
Regent Brighton recognises that wellbeing should be a priority for us all and it is important to raise awareness of something that includes everyone, especially since mental health has become such a topic of discussion in the media in recent times.
With Mental Health Awareness week taking place from 13th - 19th May, we thought it was a great opportunity to promote various ways of looking after yourself. We have decided to focus solely on the ways how we can maintain good mental health just as you would your physical health. We discussed how things like sleeping well, eating healthily, exercising, drinking plenty of water or resting can have beneficial effects on both our physical and mental health.
At Regent Oxford we strive to always deliver the best possible student experience. Every week we organise stimulating, educational events. This provides a chance for staff and students to exchange their own unique perspectives in English and to share knowledge, ideas and expertise on a wide range of subjects.
